Castel Ruby

We are a small company that specializes in Italian neckties. For those of you that could be wondering, why “Italian” neckties?, the answer is simple: Italy produces the best neckties in the world.

Creating a company is a very complex task that involves long hours of planning and dedication. Ana and Monica are two of my best friends and were onboard with the idea of selling high-end Italian fashion accessories since the very first telephone conversation. We had to learn about Italian silk, necktie manufacturing, fashion trends, and eCommerce.

The Design Process

All our neckties are made of silk and our silk fabric always comes from the silk manufactures that surround the city of Como, in northern Italy. The city of Como has a very long tradition of silk production that goes back to the XV Century.

Long before our ties are ready to ship inside a luxurious box, the entire process begins with threads of silk that are died using ancient coloring techniques. Monica is our design vice-president and she leads the process that is required to select the main colors for a given collection. It seems like a simple process but… it is actually quite complicated to combine the right colors and create a final product that is beautiful and elegant. The process is even more complicated because the design team in Italy has the actual silk samples that are provided by the loom specialists. One year we may use Anthracite-blue silk for our jacquard pattern while the next year, we will consider Sapphire-blue or a more vibrant Orient-blue; the difference may seem subtle but the final impact is huge. That detailed creation process is the first step that makes a Castel Ruby necktie such a special product.

Our Favorite Designs

These are some of our favorite neckties, most of the designs that you can see here are created using heavier silk fabrics and have superior quality. These neckties also incorporate patterns that are modern and vibrant; this designs can be used for a special occasion or can be an excellent necktie for every day.
